A Lesson in Socialism
I received this in an email and thought it was a simple way to describe what the Obama administration wants to bring upon us.
An economics professor at a college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before but had once failed an entire class. That class had insisted that socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.
The professor then said, “OK, we will have an experiment in this class on socialism. All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A. The Class agreed!
After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy.
As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little. The second test average was a D! No one was happy.
When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F. The scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.
All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great, but when government takes all the reward and shares it with those not earning it, no one will try or want to succeed.
It just doesn’t get any simpler than this.

But the worst thing is that you say by posting that crap that ALL american are lazy bums cause they will all fail cause they wont work cause some wont work… And that is a big insult to the American!

2 Things!
First, who cares if it’s old stuff? Socialism is old stuff and people still haven’t learned that it’s not a way to run a society. The late not-so-great Ted Kennedy once said “the reason it (socialism) hasn’t worked in 6,000 years of recorded history because it didn’t have me to run it.” And the media makes him out to be a hero. My ass.
In response to your posting the link to the Snopes article: That’s the first place I looked after receiving it so I changed it to be generic knowing it wasn’t an actual professor that did this experiment but it still provided for a quick and easy way for people to understand how socialism really works.
Secondly, It is a fact that over time (generations) that socialism brings everyone down to be equal. It has nothing to do with me calling all Americans lazy and they won’t work…do some reading on the history of civilizations before coming her spouting off!
